PASTA NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION
Pasta is a good source of energy and protein.
By law, all Domestic pasta made with durum semolina must be enriched
with vitamins and minerals thiamine, iron, riboflavin and niacin.
Pasta is practically fat free.
Pasta is rich in carbohydrates mainly in the form of starch that is easily
digested.
Carbohydrates are stored as glycogen in muscle tissue. Athletes use these
stored glycogen reserves as a fuel source for working muscles.
Pasta is a source of thiamine, niacin, pantothenic acid, magnesium, phosphorus,
iron, zinc, copper, folic acid.
Pasta made with Durum Semolina contains natural Gluten, a protein which
is a known allergen to some people.
