Description

The classic, iconic tubular penne shape pasta but with a smooth exterior. Underrated, but never fails to give the dish a cleaner look. Made from 100% freshly-milled durum semolina from Montana’s Golden Triangle. Fun fact: the smooth penne outsells the penne rigate in Italy!

Application

Derived from the Italian word for “feather” or “pen,” these short cylindrical shaped noodles are one of the most popular shapes today. They work with any sauce as well as baked applications.
